Alberta High School Sports Hall of Fame

Jack Allen was a teacher and a coach.

The website of the Alberta Schools' Athletic Association (ASAA) includes Alberta High School Sports Hall of Fame.

Jack Allen is included twice in that Sports Hall of Fame:
* in the Special Achievement catagory as a Founder (being a part of the 1956 meeting that created the ASAA and the first ASAA basketball tournament) and
* as a Coach with the Victoria Composite Boys Basketball Team, who won that first ASAA tournament.

The 1956 Championship Victoria Composite Boys Basketball Team: Joe Bedford, Elmer Brendzan, Gary Day, Len Dudka, Ted Frechette, Peter Hasey, Dave Hicks, Don Kay, Bob Lindberg, David McLean, Don Monro, Roman Swynchuk, Jack Allen (Coach), Don Macintosh (Coach), Ralph Johnston (Manager)

ASAA, an association formed to ensure school sport takes place in a well organized, educational environment and in a spirit that promotes equal opportunity and good sportsmanship.
